Group Counselling Programs
We know from our research that people who take both one-on-one counselling as well as group counselling have better, longer lasting results than people who just take one-on-one counselling. Our group counselling covers a number of problems. You need to talk with a counsellor before registering in any group program to make sure it’s a good fit for you.

Learn to love yourself. This 12-week program will help you to change your thoughts and adopt a healthier, more positive self-awareness. Develop your personal strengths, learn how to have healthy relationships, and discover how to set boundaries.
Children and Youth Programs
Before entering a group program, the child or youth and their parent/family has to have a one-on-one session with their counsellor to see which program is the best fit. Once in the group program, at least one parent has to take a simultaneous program to learn how to support the changes their child is making. However, we encourage both parents to participate.
Responsible Choices for Children
Ages 5-17
Children can experience all the emotions adults do, but sometimes they don’t know how to handle them. In this 10 week program, children and their parents will attend separate groups. Children will learn about big emotions, how to problem solve, and how to deal with peer pressure. Parents will develop positive parenting skills, learn how to manage stress and communicate as a family.
Self-Esteem for Adolescents
This 12-week program will give teens the tools to create a positive, stronger sense of self and make healthy choices. Teens will learn how to challenge negative thoughts, build confidence and develop good relationships.
Children of Divorce
Ages 5-17
Reduce the trauma from divorce or separation in children. Both children and parents participate in this 10-week program. Each of the parents is in a separate parenting group taking place at the same time as the children’s groups. Parents will learn to improve communication with their child, set healthy boundaries and develop a functional co-parenting relationship. Children will be able to share their feelings and learn coping skills.
