CCC brings family violence training to all Alberta health professionals
Dr. Rosenbaum, Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Psychology Training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, will be launch a Domestic Abuse Treatment webinar series on Nov. 21, 2011 with Calgary Counselling Centre.
Calgary Counselling Centre takes a leading role in training today’s mental health practitioners. Now, we’re offering our Family Violence training province wide. Calgary Counselling Centre, through the Wilson Centre for Domestic Abuse Studies, will be launching a webinar series this November during Family Violence Prevention month. The series will provide critical information essential for those providing treatment to individuals, couples and families impacted by domestic violence and abuse.
The webinar series is set to launch on Nov. 21, 2011, with internationally renowned presenter, Dr. Alan Rosenbaum. Dr. Rosenbaum will present an overview of domestic violence treatment initiatives and highlight what research and practice makes a difference in the effectiveness of domestic violence treatment programs.

We are happy to share our research and knowledge to support health professionals throughout the province, increasing our collective capacity to deal with family violence concerns.”
Dr. Rosenbaum is the first presenter in a Domestic Abuse Treatment Webinar Series to be launched by Calgary Counselling Centre on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at 1 p.m. (MST). The second webinar in this series will be offered on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. (MST). The series will continue into 2012.
Calgary Counselling Centre has been educating students since our inception in 1962; we have been offering specialized family violence training for over 25 years. The Centre is the only counselling agency in Alberta operating as an independent training facility.
