Biography of Speaker - Dr. Eric E. McCollum, PhD

Dr. Eric McCollum is Professor and Clinical Director in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Virginia Tech's Northern Virginia Center and a Licensed Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. McCollum has spent the past 15 years doing research and training in the area of family therapy of substance abuse including consulting to the states of Washington and South Carolina. More recently, he has worked with colleagues Sandra Stith and Karen Rosen on developing and testing a couples treatment model for domestic violence. He has published widely and regularly presents nationally and internationally. He is co-author (with Dr. Terry Trepper) of Family Solutions for Substance Abuse: Counseling and Clinical Techniques from Haworth Press.
