Student internships, or practica, provide individuals with an
opportunity to gain knowledge and experience within a community
based counselling agency. During training individuals are involved
in all aspects of the counselling process from initial contact to
client follow-up. Interns may work with individuals, couples, families
or groups within a variety of contexts.
Practica include weekly educational
seminars, individual and group supervision, and many different
opportunities to learn within a challenging and supportive environment.
Calgary Counselling Centre works with many different universities
in offering undergraduate and graduate level practica/internships.
