To initiate counselling sessions, the individual calls the main number (403) 265-4980 and asks for Intake/Call Centre. An intake worker conducts a 15 minute interview, which will assess the issues and circumstances requiring counselling. The appropriate counsellor is assigned to your case the next working day and you will be contacted by your counsellor within 48 hours to book an appointment.

No counselling will be offered over the phone. If there is an emergency, callers are asked to contact the Distress Centre (403-266-1605), or Suicide Prevention, where an experienced and trained worker will handle the crisis. Volunteers conducting the interviews are trained intake workers, but they are not qualified counsellors. Counselling will begin in the first session.

A client wanting to register for a group program must first be enrolled in individual counselling.
